Reclaiming the Feminine, reclaiming the Masculine too

The Broken Masculine,
it’s not working for men
and it’s not working for women either.

Men – we want your sensitivity
your emotion and feeling and insight.
You can surrender too,
we will hold you there.
We are much stronger than the broken Feminine
pretended she wasn’t.

We have birthed children,
fed hungry mouths,
and nourished the entire world
into Being.

There is no need to see yourself as broken,
you are whole, and that is exactly the way
we like you.

Comment:

Thankfully I’m starting to collect around me a group of men whom I adore. They are sensitive, emotional, colourful and yet I’ve seen their shame in feeling that they don’t fit in, they don’t fit the “masculine mould” yet what I’d like to say is that you do. Oh my god, you so do, it’s just that you’re looking the wrong way. It’s not out there that you’ll find the masculine, it’s right where you are. Because, you see, that “out there mould” is broken. It’s not working for you, and let me tell you it’s not working for so many of us women too. More than anything we want men who can listen, who can hold, who have insight and instinct and intuition too, and we are strong. We are not weak. As you hold us, we will hold you too.

I’m now on Kindle!

Hi everyone <3 So my book is finally available on Amazon Kindle – Enjoy!!

Did you ever struggle with feeling beautiful?
Did you ever struggle with sex and hunger?
Did you ever struggle with loving yourself, your body – every single inch of her, any single inch of her?

Well, if so, then this book is for you.

It is a book about womanhood, and it is a book about intimacy. It is a book about how we as women are so scared to fully feel into who we are at the deepest, most raw, and most intimate levels of ourselves.

It is a book about being brave. About being brave enough to face our hungers, to face our fears. And to finally let who we truly are, the places we have hidden and shamed, that we have run from and that we have misunderstood, fully and honestly and vulnerably, just show up.

So come join me on this journey. Let us feel through together some of the most powerful, delicate, struggles and themes that our human condition offers us.
Let us dance through it all – in the music of sensual, magical, visceral and enchanting poetry and prose.

Let us disover what beautiful really looks like!”

IT’S OUT, IT’S OUT, IT’S FINALLY OUT!

IT’S OUT, IT’S OUT, IT’S FINALLY OUT! My first book of poetry and prose is now available to buy!

As some of you may or may not know, I left my job in the NHS about 9 months ago now … to simply write. No other plan, no other agenda, just to write. Every morning while in the NHS I would wake early, in the pre-dawn hours, just to write and write and write.

And it got to a point where I became so tired of stealing minutes and hours here and there. This compulsion, posession, had taken me, and so I decided to be brave, use up my savings, and do what I knew deep down I could not ‘not do’ any longer.

And this is what emerged. I first had the idea to publish some of my poems about 5 months ago, and honestly it has felt like an eternity, but in fact it is simply the blink of a starry eye.

And I ask only one thing. To please be gentle in your reading. It is a deeply personal book, all 248 pages of it. As one of my poems reads –

‘Pieces of me fall onto the page.
Literally
pieces of me,
have fallen onto this page,
this page you are reading,
holds pieces of me.’

So yeah, without much further ado. Here is the link, I can now say I am a published author and poet in my own right! Woohoo!
And my prayer is also this. I hope that in some way my story can encourage some of you to be brave. Whatever that means for you. I have learned that truly there is no other way to live.

Love, Beth <3

My new book will be available to buy September 2016

I am about to publish my first book of poetry and prose called ‘Nobody told me what beautiful looked like’. It is a portrait of my life, in poems. A portrait which revealed itself, herself, in a very short space of time, and which felt to me like sound, and colour and texture, like past and future and present all prophetically merged into one.

It is a journey that I undertook in order to discover the truth of who I really am, without judgement, without expectation and without the shackles of constraint that our society, our families and even our friends can unwittingly place upon us. But of course, by far the biggest jailer, was myself. And it took a whole heap of courage to shed the skin of a life that deep down I knew just didn’t look like me anymore.

It will be available to buy in August 2016 – via Amazon.co.uk or Amazon. com – as an e-book or in paperback version.

I’ll keep you posted with progress – so keep tuned to my instagram, facebook or twitter accounts as I’ll be releasing bits and pieces, sounds and film, to give you a flavour of things to come.<3
